OMMA requires a separate commercial licence for each location and licence type. Use a separate record for every premises rather than a single company-level renewal date.

120 to 60 days before expiry

• Confirm the licence number, premises, licence type, expiry date, and accountable owner.
• Gather the current OMMA-required information and verify the portal record.
• Submit within OMMA’s stated timely renewal window and save the filing confirmation.

If the licence is approaching expiry

• Escalate any incomplete renewal before the expiry date.
• Keep the current status and agency communications with the location file.
• Do not assume a transfer, ownership change, or other material change can be completed as part of renewal.

After filing

• Record the application status, payment, and next action.
• Confirm the renewed licence and next expiry date after OMMA approval.

OMMA says a filing less than 60 days before expiry but before expiry has no late fee, yet the licence expires on its expiry date and remains expired until approval.
